The wildlife conservation enforcement fund, Inc., (WCEF), was initially formed in late 1998 by several Maryland Natural Resources Police officers in Western Maryland.  We received tax exempt IRS status in May 1999.  These officers saw the real need for money to acquire additional support equipment needed to fight poaching and protect lives and property in Maryland. There never seemed to be enough money in the agency budget for the equipment which they felt would make them more  effective in the performance of their duties.

In the past, Corporations in Maryland have been asked to "Sponsor" a specific DNR project.  WCEF proposes to carry that idea to another level -  by asking people, organizations, or corporations to sponsor conservation law enforcement.  As of this writing, WCEF is dedicated to acquiring robotic deer decoys, additional ATVs, night vision equipment, and more cellular telephone service, etc.,  for NRP, and would welcome sponsors for these projects, or, you may designate that your donation be used for a specific project, or area of interest, of your choice.  All donations are welcome and appreciated.  CALL OR E-MAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION !  888-231-5925 ( toll free ). westernmarylandman@hotmail.com
